useful airline review website http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/snbrussels.htm

Flights ticket prices are on a continuous rise. But people prefer airways due to its better facilities and comforts. Nowadays there are several airline agencies offering cheap flight tickets to different locations such as Indigo, JetLite, Air India, Indian Airlines etc.

For availing cheap flights ticket, you can also book online flight tickets from Jetlite flights. Jetlite flights ticket are available for lowest rates for several domestic as well as international destinations. For more details visit the below link : http://www.jetliteflights.in

I have just booked a flight for September from Edinburgh to Moscow with Lufthansa for £148, long break in Frankfurt both directions though however the wife is happy enough with the chance to explore a new city.

Word of caution for anyone using Rossiya, we flew into Pulkova 1 last week, I must have flown with them prior to Aeroflot takeover and after 50 plus times and this is the first time I've not arrived in Pulkova 2.

My father in law was supposed to be waiting for us in Pulkova 2 but he misheard which terminal to wait in from my mother in law and was waiting in Pulkova 1!

I guess you missed my post from last year Similar scenario...

http://www.realrussia.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=4558&s...

As of last year, all Russian carriers now seem to fly into and out of Pulkovo-1 whether it be international or internal flights. BA are still flying into Pulkovo-2 (my wife flew there with them back in April).

Did they put you on an Anotonov or was it an Airbus? If not then be prepared to possibly be put on one for the return journey like we were

My wife flies out by Rossiya in 3 weeks and I'll be following 3 weeks after that also with Rossiya.

Oh well Lufthansa are on strike tomorrow so got the email saying flight cancelled however I have been rebooked to fly on Saturday, Edinburgh to Manchester with BMI then Lufthansa via Frankfurt, however if BMI had been still going we may of got away with going via London, ho hum. As we had a 10 hour stopover, we booked a hotel independantly of the booking plus went through the process of getting a Schengen visa for the wife but the hotel money has went down the drain.

Does anyone know when Rossiya release their winter schedule?

I think were going to do a u-turn and visit the in-laws rather than go somewhere hot this Christmas.

Anyone? At the moment it looks like were going to fly with BA and book tonight unless anyone knows about Rossiya/Aeroflot Winter schedule.

Hi, had the misfortune of missing my BA flight last Sunday due to the Polet flight to Moscow being cancelled. Anyway when rebooking I found that to fly Moscow London Moscow was only £170 a return flight rather than the £240 the other way round!

FYI.

We're currently looking for flights in the summer to SPb and after finding no flights currently listed on the Rossiya website my wife sent them an email.

Rossiya have just responded saying that they will not be offering any direct flights between London and SPb until at least the end of summer this year so it looks like BA are going to have the monopoly on direct flights there which it seems they probably already know based on their current prices on that route for the summer period.

Oh well, it looks like we might have to resort to an indirect flight for the first time ever which we've managed to avoid up until now due to the fact that our young daughter travels with us so the shorter the travelling time the better.

Thanks. Wasn't aware they did direct flights from London to SPb but it looks like you're right.

Just checked and the cheapest Transaero flights for the period we're looking at are £50 more expensive per person for a return trip than BA so they're definitely out. And the return flight tax with Transaero is 328.20 USD per person compared to 108 GBP with BA...WTF???

TBH you're better off these days just using SkyScanner or Kayak to find cheapest available flight prices.

Booking through S7 is cheaper than British Airways for the same flight.
