uknorth1965 - 2011-10-19 12:20 PM On a lighter note........... Decided to go to Liverpool today to find out what was going on with our Visa. While we were waiting for the offices to open, we got a phone call from the UKBA. The ILR Visa was ready to be collected. Sorted. I do agree with Malcolm, it pains me, as a British Citizen, to pay such a large amount of money, again! (spouse visa and now ILR), to live with my wife.
Congratulations to you both. Next stop citizenship...start saving

Congrats....

Send UKBA a bill for the second trip...........

Many congratulations for your wife’s visa. Well Done.

Please don’t take any notice to my comments directed to that ignorant Tony, because of his attitude to twist the meaning of my posts. As you can see, now, he has resorted to insults because he has nothing of importance to say, poor little ignorant man… or person!

BTW Tony, educate yourself about the Greek situation and the Greeks as they are more politically knowledgeable than you and fight for their rights, before making stupid comments. In comparison you do nothing for your rights and you are shafted all the way.

Malcolm, I am very disappointed with you resorting to insults too, nothing new there either, when you know very well that I have already agreed with you, in the past, that this differences in the EU and UK legislation it is discriminating against the UK Nationals.

You know my view that I find the charges to the UK Nationals, by the Government diabolical, and unjustifiable for the right of marrying the woman of their choosing.

OK Yannis I'll stop insulting you if you stop telling us how much money you don't have to pay to have your wife living with you in the UK.

I will not stop talking about it and you can continue demeaning and making a fool of your self with your insults!
I hope one day somebody, legally knowledgeable, may come across and take the Government to the court to justify their exorbitant charges.

On my part I will continue my efforts to find the way for an easier way to visit Russia and our relatives, either by getting a Multi entry 5 year visa or abolish the need to have one!

What you and your mates do about your rights ?

Oh dear, have I upset you?
In that case I won't stop telling you to fuck off when you keep reminding us how much money you saved by being a cuckoo in the nest.

Me and my mates don't have rights because we have to keep giving money to support the feckless Greeks and all the other freeloaders of the EU.

Malcolm

I don't easily get upset by your rude insults, nothing new in your behaviour, but as I have told you time after time, I am very disappointed that you find it necessary to resort to such low levels and belittle yourself by using rude language, when you have better intellectual capacity than me! Keep going making your self looking like a fool.

The feckless Greeks have the "balls" to fight against their corrupt Government and politicians, where you and your mates have given up your rights and have not the "balls" to fight against any bad decisions by the current or previous governments and believe their spin and propaganda.

Please do not try to give me any lectures regarding the financial situation in Greece because I don't think you have any idea of what is going on, as in my view, you have allowed yourself to be manipulated by the propaganda directed by the international banksters.

Greeks would be better off if instead of boasting about the size of their balls they woke up and realised that there is no more money to fund their tax avoiding schemes or uneccessary public sector jobs.
Greece is in the shit because they spent all the money. That's it. There is nothing more to it than that.
Now the debts have to be paid and fuck me, whaddya know! The bank of EU won't give them anymore money unless they can show they won't just spend it all on more cakes and beer.

I think I understand what's going on well enough old chap.
You can believe what you like but it won't make the facts go away.

Oh dear old chap

You have really fallen asleep listening to the banksters propaganda and haven’t realised that here in the UK we are in the same shit as the Greeks are with the difference that here the Bank of England can print money, but for how much more, where the Greeks are stuck in the Eurozone and can’t do anything to get out, for now.

The only way for that to happen, and maybe happen tomorrow, it’s for the current Government to fall and then Greece default. That way all the privatisations planned and demanded by the Troika, IMF, ECB & WB, of the 120 Billion Euros, National assets will stop and saved from the so called “investors”. Greece maybe go back to Drachma and devalue heavily but looks that the Germans and French would not let that happen as they propose a 50-70% “hair cut” for the loans by the bankers. If they let Greece to default….. the house of cards will come down, including a few investing banks from the UK and most probably will spread back to the Wall street and USA, where it started from originally!

Here in England the previous Conservative Governments have sold all National assets to the higher bidder and they are in the hands of foreign companies……… not much more left to sell.

Talking about facts, please check the numbers and you will find out that we are also in the same shit as the Greeks, shafted by those foreign investors and our corrupt Governments.

Citizenship applied for at the end of January. We were told 6 to 8 weeks for an outcome, so we are approaching the final hurdle!!

Good luck with citizenship Andy!
Just to give you an idea about times, we applied for Galina and her son on November 17th and all done and dusted, with UK passport in hand by Feb 13th - even with the Xmas break!
We paid an extra 45 quid to get a quicker/private ceremony - it was a piece of cake

Yay!... Citizenship application approved 30th March. So just over 2 months from applying.

Its interesting to read this thread back now and see the problems I had at the beginning, right through to Citizenship status. Three and a half years, but well worth it!!

Yes, we used the NCS in Manchester so we could keep our documents. Received acknowledgement from UKBA the following week.
