Good evening all!

another day-another question!

So i am on my spouse visa here ( so not entitled to any public funds) and my husband is in full time employment. We have a daughter and she is a british citizen. Can my husband apply for child taxt credit without my spouse visa being negatively affected or while i am on a spouse visa , neither me or my husband can apply for any public funds?

I did call HMRC but operators there were not sure....

Would be grateful for any information,

Provided that your husband is a UK citizen he can apply for the child tax credit. It won't have any bearing on your spouse FLR visa or any subsequent applications. Your husband can apply for any tax credits or benefits as a UK citizen, provided it is not to support you. As this is child tax credits, it is for your daughter, not you.

As Malcolm said.

Provided that it is your UK husband making the claim, and not you, then everything will be OK.
