Hi,

I am looking for some advice for getting my girlfriend a visa to visit the UK with me. I'm from Scotland but have been working as an English teacher in Russia for about five years. I've been with my girlfriend for about nine months and we want to go to Scotland together at the end of October. The question is about her visa, she has visited London a few times where her sister used to live, and had her sister write an invitation. For this time I'm not sure how to get or if she needs to get an invitation letter. I was wondering if it is possible for my parents to send the invitation as we were planning to stay with them mostly, or do we need to book a hotel place and have the hotel send her an invite(how my parents and sister both came to visit Russia).

Any advice is very much appreciated! (and if there is anything else I should know!)

Thanks!
