Hi all,

I cannot find a similar post, apologies if there is one.

Can anyone tell me the average processing times for ILR POSTAL applications? We applied at the end of March, and so are now week 11/12 (depending on how you are counting). I have seen replies saying around 14 weeks before.

Application form was SET M with one dependent included, in case this helps.

(we didn't get a face to face interview as could get dates and for reasons of cost .... Have just bought a house together).

Regards

Simon

We took the poor option too. It was a couple of years ago now but my wife's ILR application took 10 weeks. The average is supposed to be 3 months but bear in mind that the UKBA are currently dealing with a huge influx of visitor visa applications because of the olympics so expect the normal processing time to quite a bit longer than it would usually take.

DeaconStreet, GaryM - thanks for your replies and sharing your experiences.
I phoned up yesterday to find out what was happening with my passport as twenty working days since I requested its return. (i have an overseas team and need to travel for work.) No record of my request. Will have to wait another twenty working days. Not happy.

Hi All, just thought others in the same position might like an update. We finally received BRP and documents back today, after 20 weeks.

Coincidentally (or not) it was exactly 20 working days after our MP enguired to UKBA of progress, i.e. last day before he could chase up.

Hope these time lines help others applying for SET M.
