Arrived back last night...Kazakhstan wasn't as bad as I'd been told...
14 hour coach ride from Almaty to Urdgar was FUN...not...we booked two seats each so we could stretch out....otherwise would have been really bad...
The bazar in almaty is huge as of square miles...
Tried the local delicacy of Kort...salted milk that ends up looking like a gobstopper...definately an aquired taste in fact way too salty for me...
Other than that out of 11 days there was only 1 night that we didn't drink with family & friends...that night we took it easy and only drank 8 beers each .....now back in saudi...long journey back...14 hrs bus ride....lay over of 12hrs in Almaty...4 hrs flight to Dubai then 9.5 hrs drive back to Saudi, glad i have an extra 3 days before i go back to work.....
Will post some new pics later once i have edited them

Not too pi**ed...still able to walk.....One night we managed to drink 10 bottles of vodka and 10 bottles of beer between 5 of us.....
Not bad since I don't drink while i'm in Saudi...
Must say the countryside is astounding...almaty is surrounded by snow topped mountains and Urdgar was also spectacular...
I normally would take around 100 pics in 11 days but for some reason we didn't seem to have the time???
The important highlight of the trip was meeting my wife's Baba as all grandmothers do she keeps saying she will die next week...I know mine did for 10 years up till the time she passed.

100 pics in 11 days??????

typical yorkshireman trying to save a bit of film or a bit of battery power

I'd take 100 pics a day minimum but then I'm a boring git.

nice pics Richard pity you didn't do a few more.

I went up the mountains above Almaty on a sky lift once, it was fantastic up there but you can keep the city below, along with camel milk sweets.....welcome back
