I am an English man ( 49 ) who has many ties to Russia and the Ukraine. I am looking for a companion for some trips in the new year to those countries. I understand about 80% of spoken Russian but find it difficult to read or write it. If you are interested please get in touch.

The original request was posted nearly 2 years ago so I assume he meant the New Year of 2009 which is long gone.

A lot of groups will either match you with a roommate, or won't charge you the single supplement.

Johnnyboy. sorry fella but you know that V0LGA will never survive the journey, it will have rusted out by the time that you get there at the speed that you drive.

I'll be getting calls in the middle of the night - "Roy mate, have you got a towrope? I'm on the old A9"

I did Dundee to Liskeard in about 12 hrs, but in my defence it was snowing quite hard.

7 days? are you sure? that'll be all the weight of the leather and the yellow sticky tape on the number plates me lover ...

hey it was in a van too, I'm still chuckling at Mel who said that half of it was downhill

did you ever get to Arrochar at the end of Loch Long (nr Loch Lomond) the place where they used to test torpedoes for accuracy, not sure if they still do that now. was fishing the loch there years ago and was nearly hit by a torpedo (2m away)!!! Best cod fishing in the british isles. certainly no good here in the NE anymore.

So white van man.........well not coming out of Inverness that,s for sure...go look sometime with the Missus......climbing up to Colluden Moor Now there is some SCOTTISH HISTORY !!!!!!!

As for Mel he,s on the weekend off now so plenty of time to comment, well his missus at work, the old man has nowt to do !!!

try here to Roy......Bombing range at Tain,,used by all NAVY/RAF Bomber,s....Including the Buccaneer,low level strike bomber,the Navy,s finest low level strike bomber.(Mk 1 & 2s........)...

Think the torpedoes range no longer in use.......North East is knackered cod fishing, like i used to fish behind the police stn at Greenock on the Clyde, when it was snowing..now there was some good cod(codling)...

Wait for it,the old man has just surfaced from the booze trap............HA!!!!!!!..enough Mel.....johnnyboy............
