I aquired my visa through Real Russia and on the visa registration information page there are 2 places listed in St Petersburg where I can register the visa once I arrive. Is there a 'preferred' one to use or should I simply just use whichever of the 2 is most convienient?

The registration agencies are listed at this link: http://www.realrussia.co.uk/contact/contactdetails2.asp

Thanks,
Gary

P.S. I fly out on Saturday morning (7th Jan) so any information would be appreciated before I depart :)

If your staying in a Hotel they will do it for you, check the cost first. If not, use the nearest registration agency listed, unlikely you find a less expensive option anyway. Some Hotels will do it for you if you not staying there but its illegal for them to do it, so you pay a bit extra. Last time I did this was for convienence and cost 700 rub (£14), I was lucky !! If your visiting someone I suggest you get their help for the first time.

Enjoy your trip !

As we spent a lot of time in and around Nevskiy Prospekt I ended up using Russian Holiday (Real Russia parner agency) to register my visa who were very friendly and very efficient. Dropped in one day with my passport & migration card and it was stamped & ready for collection 24 hours later. It couldn't have been any easier. The cost of the service was just 600 Roubles

I will definately be using the Real Russia service again. The whole visa process with them has been hassle-free and the support & assistance provided both by email and on this site has been outstanding. Thanks to Chris and everyone else who has answered my queries and helped me on my first trip to a fantastic country

Can anyone remind me which number on Nevsky Prospect Russian Holiday are situated at?

They don't appear as a partner of Real Russia now and i've tried about 6 different searches and I keep getting there name but not there address!

Cheers

Cheers Gary!

Everytime I tried Russian Holiday under the search facility on here I either found details about holidays or details of Russian Holiday but no number.

Do they open Saturdays for returning Passports if I go there Friday or you not sure?

I've not used Russian Holiday for a good couple of years now so can't remember if they work on a Saturday but I think they might be open in the morning at least. Best thing to do is to get your girlfriend to call and ask. The number I have for them is (812) 3273023.
