Welcome. most of the people on here are English husbands or potential husbands discussing visas and russian wives.

our wives tend to use rupoint.com for networking.

My wife and I live in Redditch at present, soon to move to Solihull hopefully. Not too far from Coventry. She is from Omsk, we have one little daughter and another baby on the way. Her parents are visiting us at present and she knows plenty of other russians in the area.

Hi WorcestershireB
U didnt introduce yourself, sorry.. I am not aware of rupoint. I will have a look later.
Hope that I will be able to get in touch with Russian ladies here soon. Honest, I get bored, when he goes to work.
I got few questions regarding my status here right now and the paperwork, etc... I posted a letter in visas section of this forum called "name change, etc..." pls have a look, if you got time. I would love to have somebody who s been thru all that and probably could share with me the knowledge.
Many thanks for the letter. Hope to keep in touch. My regards to your wife.

The phrase "sent to Coventry" means to be ignored or ostracised, often takes the form of pretending that the shunned person, although conspicuously present, can't be seen or heard.
It's origins go back to the English Civil War in the 1640s, royalist soldiers who were imprisoned in Coventry  found that the locals, who were parliamentary supporters, shunned them and refused to have anything to do with them.
Yes it's very green due in no small part to all the rain, if you've been here just a month then maybe you haven't had much chance explore the area. I came across this web site by chance a few years ago now, it's run privately by a local man and will give you some good information about the area you now live and some ideas about to fill your spare time.

I live in the same place as you, welcome.
BTW, you didn't say where you came from, I mean which city in Russia?

It's like a kennel club here, the guys discuss how their wives eat, drink, wash, breed etc.

Rupoint died by the way. All russian community moved to www.ponaehalitut.co.uk

Hey, Michaeldunha, my apologies. I am taking it too seriously. My husband explained to me before I got your reply. You have to learn the history of the place you come to. When in Rome...
Thank you for the link. I will have a look. Whereabout in Coventry are you? Are you a poor husband of Russian lady too? I dont think you are born in Russia.

Oh Natasha (borninrussia) - were you in a bad mood when you wrote that

Hello Zara and welcome - my wife and I are just "up the road outside Leicester - we have just returned to the UK after spending 5 years in Russia, though I cant say with three children we have the time to be bored but I do know what you mean; you really must find something to occupy yourself, even if it is voluntary work - otherwise you will go a little crazy.

Welcome again.

So they have moved to a different place to talk about the size their owners gardens, houses, bank balances, 'members' and how long they have left before ILR so they can divorce and get their windfall !!!!
