Hi,

I need the latest UK Visa rules and any other information I should need. My Russian wife will be applying for a tourist visa. I believe the family visa doesn't exist anymore?

Thanks!

I thought that the family visit visa was still in use, may be wrong though, maybe an email to the company in Moscow who now take your visa application, check it etc...

Thanks but why Belgium? The UK visa is done through https://www.gov.uk/apply-to-come-to-the-uk

The family visa was scrapped recently.

As far as I am aware, and I used these services last year November, this is the only company in Ru who can accept a visa application for the UK, they are responsible for undertaking the required biometrics, and checking the application documentation before the application can be submitted.

I understand that there may now be another company (Teleservice I think) who is also contracted to the UK gov for visa apps, though I have no further information about them.

TlS are also the contracted partners for several other countries visa apps, inc Belgium.

Thanks Mel, but the visa application is done here https://www.gov.uk/apply-to-come-to-the-uk and you don't need an expensive agent.

Unless I am missing something?

I've just checked TLS, they charge 163 for a 90 day visa but I have a feeling its only for Schengen Visas which we don't need. The official cost is less than 90.

If you follow the UK gov directions ref applying for a visa for the UK from Russia, click onto Russia nearing the end of the page, another page will open up as linked above, click on The visa application center and you will be re-directed to TLS who ask where you wish to submit your application, you are then in their hands.
They are the official UK visa contractor for the UK gov, just as I suggested above..
