I want to send a jar of coffee to my friend in Russia. It's supermarket coffee that is not available in St Petersburg. It will be a sealed jar. Will this be an issue?

Russian post is all a bit hit and miss as to whether it reaches its destination.
Id just send it anyway and see what happens.

For the past 18yrs or so, I've been sending and for the past 11 yrs, receiving every package sent to me or my family from the UK to Russia via RM Int Sig 4, so I don't understand where you've got the hit/miss about Russian post from!!!

The OP is from last Dec so chances are the advice will not be seen..
